Next week Percipia will take on BITAC 2016 at the Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort in Cancún, QR, Mexico. BITAC brings together a collection of hospitality purchasing professionals from all over the world. BITAC attendees are from different departments within a hospitality property; they could be from Food & Beverage, IT or even General Managers.
The intimate setup of BITAC allows for prescheduled meetings that are timed with fifteen minute increments. Vendors will get a chance to meet with 20-25 professionals in two days. The cost savings of BITAC verse traveling to individual properties is a one of the main reason why the show gets huge publicity.
Michael Velasquez, CEO, and Cody Martin, Global Director of Sales, will have a chance to really show our new product S.T.A.R. to the industry. S.T.A.R. is Percipia’s new Service Tracking And Response software. S.T.A.R. is a back of house ticketing and dispatch system that will completely streamline your property, save money and increase guest satisfaction.
If you are unable to attend BITAC 2016 but would love to get to know S.T.A.R. a little better, please feel free to contact us for a collateral and a demo!
Last week our CEO, Michael Velasquez, and Business & Account Manager, Kal Matar, took a trip to New Orleans, Biloxi and Atmore to scout out the location for this year’s HITEC 2016 and visit some current and potential clients.
The first stop on their trip was New Orleans, Louisiana where they stayed at the Four Points Sheraton on Bourbon Street.
The rooms are French Colonial inspired and the location is right at the center of Bourbon Street making it a prime location to stay this June for HITEC 2016!
The duo had a great time taking in the culture and history of the city as they visited venue locations for a joint event to be held during this year’s HITEC 2016 in June.
Next, it was off to Biloxi, Mississippi. The team really enjoyed spending time with our Biloxi clients and were happy to see the properties first hand. Even more exciting, all were interested in our new product S.T.A.R.!
The last stop on their trip before returning to New Orleans was to Atmore, Alabama to visit a new client. The team really enjoyed seeing the area and meeting our clients face to face!
All-in-all the trip was a great success! Stay tuned for more travel updates coming soon!

The holidays are traditionally the time of year when most people spend time with family. But instead of packing everyone in the SUV on a road trip to grandma’s house next year, consider these 5 great holiday travel destinations instead:
1. Key West, FL
Escape the cold December weather and head to Key West, there’s plenty of holiday fun to be had! Be sure to check out the annual lighted boat parade, the Holly Jolly Trolley or catch a performance of The Nutcracker!
2. New York, New York
Kevin had the right idea in Home Alone 2. Staying at The Plaza. Seeing the holiday tree at Rockefeller Center. Taking in some holiday music at Carnegie Hall. New York is the perfect place to get in the holiday spirit!
3. Puerto Rico
Another trip for the cold adverse traveler. Be warned though, Puerto Rico really knows how to celebrate; holiday festivities in Puerto Rico start in late November and can continue until mid-January!
4. Nuremburg, Germany
What better place to visit than the home of the original Christkindlmarkt? You can get lost in all the market has to offer for days!
We may be biased because Percipia is located in Chicago, but The Windy City is our favorite place to spend the holidays! There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks, The Joffrey Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker, ZooLights at the Lincoln Park Zoo, and America’s very own Christkindlmarkt. (Check out our blog post on Chicago’s Christkindlmarkt here)

When traveling, you want to invest in quality luggage. Herschel Supply has that and then some. Definitely check out their cool, portable duffles if you want to up your carry-on game. You’d be surprised how much can fit in there.

If your traveler spends a lot of time out of country, an outlet converter is a perfect stocking stuffer for them. It allows you to plug into almost any foreign wall. Check them out here.
